Yes, I am a Phelps Phan
Today I'm hitting the pool for a long workout. The plan calls for 3150 yards.
Warm up of 250 x 4 (swim, kick, pull, swim)
Main: Ladder of 1950: start with 300, 250, 225, ....until 25
Cool Down: 200 easy
This week in my training is focusing on swimming. I wont bike or run much this week. I think the next week is bike focused and then the week after is run focused. Hopeful with all the time at the pool/gym I can lift some weights too.
I saw where Phelps after the Athens Games, his coach asked him had he ever lifted weights and Micheal said, "Nope, not one." Well, his coach had him start lifting 3 times a week. His coach said the Micheal was good at holding a speed for a distance but the add strength gives him rare power.
