Looking back over the last month I've averaged just over 13 miles a week. I have a total of 66.2 miles for the month which is my highest running total for 2008. I guess that's Good but I've been told that Good is the enemy of Great. Looking back there has been several days where I could have done some shorter runs but didn't. It's hard to make time for all of the workouts when you work 50 + hours a week and have a wife and kid.
But Hey, No excuse. Play like a champion. Right?
In November I should have a lot more miles in because the Albany Run Walk group is getting to the middle of the season so our long runs are well, getting longer. The trick will be to find time for Speed & Hill workouts in during the week.
I've got a race on Nov 8th. It's a 15K. It will be my first time to race a 15K. Nothing like using a race for you speed workouts.
One Hundred Push Challenge
To be honest. I've been lazy about doing all the work out that I need to do for that. I did good with week one. Week two I half way did. Now that I'm on week three I've pretty much got to do'em everyday the rest of this week. to catch up for this week.
So I'm saying is that just need to man up and gett'em done.
Running Quote:
Champions do not become champions when they win the event, but in the hours, weeks, months and years that they spend preparing for it. The victorious performance is merely the demonstration of their championship character.
