One Hundred Push Ups Challenge

Today I'm doing the One Hundred Push Ups Challenge. It is a pretty simple deal. You start out and do as many push ups as you can until the burning feeling in your arms sets the house on fire. Then once you have found your max you follow a chart for the next six weeks. The plan calls for doing push ups three times a week for six weeks. At the end of six weeks you will be able to do One Hundred push ups at one time.

I love this kind of exercise plan. There are no gym membership fees. You can do it any time and any where. It is pretty much how I started running. The streets are free so why pay to go work out. To me push ups are the best way to get in shape.

I took the initial test on Saturday. I didn't really max out because if I did too many I would be in a category that was not right for me. So, I did 30 and was pretty close to maxing out. Put it this way I was sore the next morning at church.

This week I'll be doing push ups on Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday. Each day I will do 5 sets, with the last set on each day I will max out. It seems pretty simple to do. The hard part about this will be consistency. Remembering to do them every other day.
