So, I sign in to Youtube today and I find out that WMG (Warner Music Group) has muted 5 of my videos because I used one of their licensed songs in the back ground of my video. This makes me mad. These are videos of my daughter & nephews birthday parties. I bought all my music off of itunes but I can't use it to make a video. That makes no sense. If WMG wants to check my bank account I've made exactly $0.00 off of their music. If anything more people have listened to their songs because of my videos. I can't believe this because there are tons of videos on Youtube with real songs in the back ground. Doesn't WMG have better things to do than police Youtube?
Now that my videos are frozen up and/or muted. I've open up a new Youtube account. You can now find my page at - http://www.youtube.com/user/TheTriRunner
Here is a short video I made for pictures from the Albany Marathon that I’ve posted on my new Youtube account. And yes the music in the background is legal. Enjoy!

It's pretty odd that they'd do that. It might be that you were just the unfortunate subject of a totally random YouTube probe, since you're obviously not using it for profit...
...but next time, I think, don't even bother mentioning the artist at the end of your video---that's probably how they "found out," since you didn't mention it in the video's info section and they don't have the time to check every video on youtube, but since they technically own every frame of every video published through their site, they can search through every frame of every video...So, just try not giving credit to the artist in your video at all.
The irony is hilarious. :)
I told you they were going to do that eventually!
I could see if you were going to sell it but come on you aren't. They need to find something better to do with their time. Nice video otherwise.
