Training Update

Last week I worked about about 5.5 hours. I did all of my longer workouts but missed the shorter easier workouts. This has been the norm for the last few weeks. Going out of town cuts into the amount of time I have to train. So I've been trying to make the most of the time I have. Last week I swam 1.3 miles, biked 44 miles, and ran 9 miles.

Three of those miles I ran were done in North Augusta on their Greenway. The city has miles of trails that go all throughout the city. I wish I had something like this in my backyard. It was so nice to run under the shade of tress and not have to worry about cars. It was a very peaceful run.

Also this weekend I went down to the Savannah River to see where I would be swimming when I do the Ironman 70.3 Augusta. The river walk in Augusta was very nice. It was so hot when I was there and the river looked so good I wanted to jump right in. Here are some pictures of the river. I'm just a few blocks down from where the swim leg will take place.

It was nice to see where I'd be swimming & the type of terrain that I will be biking and running during my race. It looks like the course will be hillier than where I live but everywhere else is hillier than where I live. It should be a fun race in a very cool town. I can't wait to get back here this fall. I just hope that it is not as hot.

Life is Good.

am I beginning to notice a motif with the whole "life is good" thing?

Did someone come up with a blog tagline? :)

Love.

Just looking at all the pictures and I get tired thinking how much running, biking, swimming...yikes. You have all my respect. I would be tired after a few minutes.
