My Spinning Facility

This week I've been getting my bike rides in at my gym's spinning class because I still don't have a bike to train with right now. But what is cool about my spinning class is that is that it has been voted as the spinning facility of the month over at spinning.com. How cool is that! Here is what they say about my gym on the website.

Tony's Westside Athletic Club, voted Albany's Best Exercise Facility year after year, offers 27,000 square feet of fitness equipment and amenities, and Tony's Fitness for Women provides 5,000 square feet of exercise equipment designed especially for women. Tony's low monthly rates, free group exercise classes and fully-staffed nursery combine to make fitness goals a reality in southwest Georgia.

As an incentive to become part of the Spinning community at Tony’s, new students receive a Spinning bumper decal after completing six classes. While driving in traffic, the stickers are instantly recognized and friendly waves are exchanged by Spinning program enthusiasts. Loyal riders recently worked around the clock to design and build a state-of-the-art Spinning facility boasting 55 bikes. Class members gathered for seven days to create a stadium effect, painting walls, constructing risers, and installing lighting, flooring and a powerful new sound system.

Classes are typically filled to capacity, and rides are frequently donated for charity fundraising events. At a recent black tie gala, a private ride for 50 raised $700 during a silent auction for the American Cancer Society. And with a large Marine base nearby, soldiers are encouraged to ride on the front row as a symbol of honor and respect.

In addition to a great Spinning program, Tony's Westside Athletic Club offers aerobics, circuit training, free weights, personal training, aquatic exercise, nutrition counseling, dance classes, Pilates, sauna, whirlpool, spa, tanning and free parking
