What A Great Weekend!

I got to do a little of everything last weekend. Here some of the highlights.

- Friday Night was family date night. We went to the Movies and saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. It was a cute movie. Sarah Jane loved it. Afterwards we went to dinner.

- Early Saturday morning I got to run with Jeff Galloway. I got to pick his brain about marathon training. He told me that I need to run 29 miles before my next marathon. He is big on distance not time. He thoughts were if you are going to race 26 you will be tired at the end of the race but if I trained to go 29 miles then I wont have the fatigue at the end of the marathon and will be able to finish strong. Also he recommended that during the training for the marathon on the weekend that was not my long run to do mile repeats 30 seconds faster that race pace. Jeff says that this speed work will help with a faster marathon time. It was so cool to run with Jeff. He is super nice guy and he knows his stuff. Here is me talking with Jeff. I'm in the red hat with my back to you guys.

- Then I held a meeting at work for all my cooks & cashiers. We are getting a new sandwich at Zaxby's and I was training them on how to cook & sell the new sandwich. I love doing meeting on Saturday morings.

- Sarah Jane cheered at her first football game. She was so cute and I was so proud of her. She has been working so hard with her team to learn the cheers.

- After a lunch date with my daughter I got to watch College Football and sleep all afternoon.

- The Bulldogs Won! My Dawgs are now 2-0 in SEC play and I couldn't be any happier about that.

- Sunday was filled with more naps and watching the Falcons get their 2nd win of the season.

- Sunday night we hosted a small group Bible study at my house. I love having people over to the house.

All in All - Great Weekend. My teams won, I got to run with an Olympian, and I got some much needed family time in.
