Here is what I've been doing this week besides working.
Tuesday was a good day. I got two cool things in the mail. First thing I opened was a letter from USAT. I got my membership card in the mail. This is the first time I’ve ever join USAT. I figure that it is worth the money this year.
The second thing I got was a my package of Hornet Juice. I was pretty pumped about trying this stuff out. I heard about from the podcast Zen and the Art of Triathlon. The way Hornet Juice works is you put it in your water or sport drink, and it helps to burn more of you fat during your workout. It will also give you more energy during your workout and if you drink it after your workout it will help you recover quicker. HJ should last for about an hour and a half.
I tried it out when I got off work. Durring my run I felt like I weighed 60 pounds. I plan on trying it out during my next few workouts before the Macon Half. If all goes well I will use it during the race. Hopeful it will give me that little edge I need so I don’t bonk on all the hills that I've been hearing about.
By the way, running at night rocks! I forget how nice it is. Not only was it much cooler because it was night(duh), but half way thru the run the clouds gave way and the stars came out. I not sure if it was a full moon that night but I couldn’t tell the difference. I started my run around 9 o’clock and stayed up till almost midnight. I Don’t know if it was because of the endorphins from the run,the Hornet Juice or the fact that I was going to get Sarah Jane on Wednesday.
This is a picture of what the moon look light (That little dot is the moon).
Wednesday night Sarah Jane graduated from her school in Alabama. She was so cute or at least that is what they told me. You see the graduation started at 6:00 local time but if you miss your turn and go about 25 miles in the wrong direction it’s pretty much impossible to get there on time.
I got there right as it got over. But if you promise not to tell Sarah Jane she won’t know (She thinks I was there). I hated that I missed it. However I do have pictures to prove that I was there.
On Saturday we are going to Atlanta to see the Braves play the D'Backs. This will be her first major league baseball game. I don't know who is more excited me or Sarah Jane.
