My World Series Pick

Okay, first off I have been done with baseball since the Braves traded away Mark Teixeira back in July. So the Braves broke my heart and I haven't watched a game since. Plus fantasy baseball ended at the all-star break and I haven't had much of a reason to watch any baseball.

However I do have a thought on who will win the World Series this year. My pick to win it all this year is the Tampa Bay Rays. I think it has nothing to do with baseball. The Rays have a good young team and are already going to the playoffs for the first time in franchises history. But this team in reality should not even be there. They have lost a lot of the key players and are somehow are still on top of their division.

The reason I think the Rays will win it all is because of Divine intervention. Hang on and hear me out on this one. You see the team Changed Their Name on November 8 2007. They were call the Devil Rays but the owner wanted to change the name to give the organization a new identity. Maybe it worked or the fact that they drafted good young talent. But nobody thought that the Rays could beat both the Yankees & Red Sox's.

For some reason I think God is on their side. I mean how can He be with a team called the 'Devil' Rays? And to be honest their is no real good reason other than that for the Rays to be in first place other than Divine intervention. Who knows may God is going to use the Rays to bring Glory to His Name? I guess we will see in October.
