On My Way To See The Bulldogs Play
Well plans have changed. I was going to do a sprint tri this weekend in Valdosta but I've decided to go up to Athens and watch the Dawgs with Sarah Jane. Right now I can't wait till Saturday.
The reason for the change of plans was pretty simple. By the time I got Sarah Jane in Abbeville, AL and then drive to Valdosta, Ga I would be whipped. Then get up early and do a race would be too much. Going to the Game would cost nearly the same as doing two races but this way I can be with Sarah Jane the whole time. To tell the truth I’m tired of Swimming, Biking, & Running. I don’t want to burn out. So, I think I’m going to shut down the swimming and the biking until 2009 and take a little break. This way I can just run & focus on spring Marathons.
This UGA game sets up pretty good for me to take Sarah Jane because I don’t think many Central Michigan fans will be at the game so it will be very friendly game. It’s not like it’s the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. Also the kickoff is at 3:30 and that way we won’t have to get up so early to get there in time.
Some of the things that I want to show Sarah Jane are the Dog Walk, The Band, Cheerleaders, Uga VII, Hairy Dog, the hedges, The Arch, and the book store. I think she will love it. I hope to get some good pictures of her on all the statures of Uga that are downtown. I will be taking Sarah Jane to a Falcons game later in the month but I think she needs to see a college football game “To Get The Picture” of what football is all about.
I don’t know how long she will let me watch the game. I’ve been told that I will probably only get to see about a half of the game. Who knows? We went to a Braves game back in May and I only saw a combined 2 ½ inngs. But half a game with 100% atmosphere – I’ll take it any day. We will be section 117 which is in the end zone by the Band. I’m hopin’ that the Band will help keep some of her attention. I’ve made a CD of the Georgia Red Coat Marching Band a few weeks back and she already knows all of the songs and chants. I’ve got to start her early.
Go Dawgs!
