I thought this was kinda of interesting. The local YMCA is having the First Annual Super Chill Polar Bear Club and Luau this Saturday. They are trying to raise money to get new equipment for the outdoor pool. Here is the skinny from their site:

Swim yourself or sponsor a lifeguard and they will swim for you!

Fun, Food, Goody Bags & Super Chill stocking caps for all.
Prizes for Most Outrageous Swim Attire, Oldest Bear, and Most Swimmers in One Bear Family.

As of right now the air temps for 10:00 on Saturday will be 45. So the water will be nice and cold. I wish I'd knew about this sooner or I'd be there. It's too bad that I've got work Saturday morning. However I'm glad that they having this fund raiser because they need new equipment at the Sports Park location. I hope that they have a good turn out.
