Time To Get Out Your Dancing Shoes

Every year I take Sarah Jane to the Daddy Daughter Dance here in town. Sarah Jane gets just as excited about going to the Dance as she does for Christmas. The dance is so much fun that we never want to leave. Sarah Jane has had her dress for the dance since before Christmas. She has keep it hidden from me because she doesn't want me to see it until I pick her up for the dance. Here she is last year showing off her dress just after she got her hair, nails, and make up done for the dance.

This year I'm not sure where we are going to eat before the dance. When Sarah Jane was two I took her to Wendy's and she loved it. Last year we went to Applebee's. I think we might be going to Longhorns this year. We talked about it last night and we can't decide. But one thing is for sure we will be going to get ice cream after the dance.

Here is a story that my brother sent me about a Daddy's Little Girl and a Cup of Tea. Enjoy!

One day my mother was out and my dad was in charge of me. I was maybe 2 1/2 years old and had just recovered from an accident. Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as a get-well gift and it was one of my favorite toys.

Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when I brought him a little cup of 'tea', which was just water. After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Mom came home. My Dad made her wait in the living room to watch me bring him a cup of tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!' My Mom waited, and sure enough, here I come down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy and she watches him drink it up.
Then she says, (as only a mother would know…)……………………

‘Did it ever occur to you that the only place she can reach to get water is the toilet?’

Haha! That is a funny story. When me and my brother were little we would pull up chairs to the kitchen sink and make him "soup" with soap, mushed up leftovers, dirty dish water and anything else that we could reach.

Thankfully my dad saw it coming and somehow always evaded actually "eating" our soup in front of us, but somehow it always magically disappeared.
