If I was running I think I would have gotten a false start. Here's why.
On Tuesday I had the day off from work and had a crazy idea to hang Christmas lights on my house. I’d never done this before but for some reason I really wanted to do it this year. I talked with several guys at work and my big brother about how to do this project. I waited till my wife got off work and we went shopping. We bought little hooks that go on shingles and over 550 feet of white Christmas lights.
After dinner I climbed up on the roof and started hanging. Some of neighbors came over and talk with my wife while I was trying not to fall of the roof. Several cars rode by and hooked at me. I sure I got weird looks for hanging lights so early.
Why so early? Well, first off my wife is pregnant and who knows how long she will be feeling like decorating for Christmas. Also between now and Christmas we will be traveling and working a lot so I figure better to get it out of the way. This will be one less stress during the holiday season. Here is the finished product.

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year!
I told my family to enjoy it because I don't know if I will climb back on the roof to do this again next year. I didn't realize how steep my roof was.
In Running News
I've found a cool blog if you live in South Georgia or North Florida. It is called Trouble AFoot! On this blog they talk about all the places where you can run, walk, or bike. They are based out of Tallahassee and they cover everything that is within 100 miles. They have a great list of upcoming races the area.

If it makes you feel better, the couple years that we hung lights when I was a kid we did it before the snow started falling. It was a more enjoyable project if we didn't wait for the freezing cold weather. Then again, I live in New England.
But your lights do look lovely!
As long as it's after Halloween, I think you're good to go. The house looks great!
I just read your about me section... presh!

Christmas lights are one of my Favorite things to hang up with my Dad every year (Not that I do anymore...since i get home about two days before Christmas...). Have Sarah Jane help you next year - maybe it'll be something you guys do together :)
