I got to the gym bright an early. I hoped on the tread mill for a short warm up and then I headed over to the free weights to meet my new personal trainer. She told me that she talked with one of her friends who is on the Vanderbilt Triathlon Team and she got one of his workouts. It is basically three super sets that is mostly legs, back, and abs. I figured I share with you guys my new workout for the winter.
Superset 1
Weight Rack Squat – 3 x 10-12
Romanian Dead lift – 3 x 15
Hanging Knee Raises – 3 x 10-20
Superset 2
Smith Reverse Lunge 3 x 10
Smith Ball Ham Curls 3 x 15
Med Ball Twists 3 x 25
Motor Bikes 3 x 30 / 75
Shin Taps 3 x30
Superset 3
Lat Pull down 3 x 10-15
Smith Push-Ups 3 x 15
One Arm Row 3 x 10-12
Seated Delt Flyes 3 x 15 (10-5 drop set)
Today I did two sets of everything and I’m sore. But it’s a good kind of sore. My back is killing me and my legs fell like they would fell better if I could a good stretch. Hopeful I can stay consistent with this workout over the winter.
