This week has been a changeling week so far with personal stuff, working, and training. On Wednesday I was off and could not find the motivation to get out and train. I sat at home and watch movies and did as little as possible. By the end of the day I got to thinking about Ironman and that it might be too big of a goal for me right now. I was thinking that I might not be able to do that. I didn't tell anybody that I wanted to quit, but luckily I've got a buddy that indirectly help me keep on going. For whatever reason we were talking and he quoted this section from the movie Dodgeball.
I love the line where Lance says, "I guess if a person never quit when the going got tuff that they wouldn't have anything to regret for the rest of their life."
So I got out and ran 6 miles and biked 17 when I got home from work. I need that kick in the pants to get out in the heat and keep going. It's going to be a much longer road to Ironman than I thought.

Don't give up on it, George. You've worked so hard --- and come so far, and you're good at it. And your friend was right, you would regret it.
