Last week I was able to get in a lot of slow base training. I got to the pool twice, ran three times, and got on the trainer twice. All in all it was a good week but I’ll be ready for the spring when daylight savings time comes back and it warms up so I don’t have to ride my bike on the trainer anymore.
Last Saturday I ran 23 miles. It was very challenging considering I just ran a marathon 13 days ago. I was glad that I run with the Albany Run Walk Group. They help me finish the whole thing. If I had been by myself I would have cut the workout short. But by finishing the full 23 mile run it has push back the my mental ‘wall’.
After the long run I was sore like normal but the top of my left foot got hurt. I either tied my shoe laces too tight and/ or the tongue of my shoe slipped down or rub the top of my foot. It is a weird injury but I’m hoping that it will go away soon. I can still run on it but it just hurts. It is very weird.
I was able to run 31 miles for the week. I was able to train for nine hours and sixteen minutes. For more details of my training – CLICK HERE.

you go all out!! sounds like an awesome week!
question - do you double up on socks for the long runs?? I usually don't, but in the cold weather my feet kinda slid around on Saturday. ?? Might be necessary next time.
