Interview

Steve In A Speedo just “interviewed” me, and I’m willing to return the favor to any other bloggers who would like to participate. Directions are at the bottom. If you have not read Steve's Blog go check it out. He is a Very Funny Guy.

Here’s what Steve asked me:

1.) On your drive to work, do you listen to alternative, classic rock, NPR, or the local pop station with the trashy and shameless morning show?

On my way to work I usually have a 5 year old in the back seat. So I try turn off the radio and try to get in a good Father / Daughter conversation. We talk about sayin' Yes & No Mam, Please & Thank You. Sometime we talk about the weather or what we will be doing this weekend and sometimes we see if we can count to 100. Hey when you're five counting to 100 is BIG Stuff.

After I drop her off I always turn on ESPN radio and listen to Mike & Mike in the morning.

2.) If you had to pick a current game show to be on, which one would you pick? Why?

I would want to be on Deal or No Deal. Why, because I would play the game until I got a deal from the Banker for over $100,000 and then I would quit. I would take the easy money and go home and pay off all my debit. I hate it when those fools play to the very end only leave with a few thousand bucks. And the girls on the show are cool too.

3.) Which Simpson's character would you get along with the best? Why?

That's easy. Hens love Roosters, Geese love Ganders, and The Tri Runner loves Ned Flanders. He is the nicest guy on the show how could you not get along with him?

4.) What's your best and your worst race experience? Explain.

The Best Race Experience - The Disney Marathon. Why - 1) I got a PR 2) My wife and daughter were there to cheer me on 3) You get a medal shaped like Mickey Mouse 4) They start the race with Fireworks 5) You get to run thru Cinderella's Castle 6) I got to High Five Mr. Incredible 7) It's Freakin' Disney World. Here is a link to my race report.

Worst Race Experience? This one is easy. How about the Half Marathon in Boston, Ga where I almost Crapped My Pants. I know, I know very funny. You see the night before I ate a bunch of Chinese Food. Then I ate a grease biscuit from Chick-fil-a. Well some where a long the way my stomach didn't like all the food and running. So as the race went on I looked for a bathroom but there was none. Only wide open farm land. Great. So about mile 10 or so I saw a patch of woods and made a dash for it. The last 5K of the race felt so much better. However I couldn't hide the fact that I started the race with a shirt on and finished the race topless. You can read my race report for more detail.

5.) What was the race that got you "hooked?" Explain.

The race that got me hook... ummm... well when I was in High School we would have swim meets on Thursday Nights called Splash Outs. I loved them. I would swim the 200 IM Relay (Back or Breast), 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay and the 500 yard Free. The meets were quick and and fun. Sometimes I wish I could go back and race in them again.

The race that got me hooked in Triathlons was my first one. It was in Panama City about 4 years ago. I can still taste the salt water in my mouth, I can feel the sea weed on my toes and the sand in my cycling shoes, the head wind pushing me back, the sweat on my face from the hot sun and the pride of crossing the finish line for the first time.

To play along:
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by giving you five questions. (I get to pick the questions.)
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview others in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
