This Saturday I will be doing Loop The Lake 5K. The race is at Georgia Veterans State Park near Cordele, Ga. This is a fun 5K that a lot of my running buddies will be doing. Some of these guys I haven’t seen since last spring. The race is done right beside Lake Blackshear.
Last year I ran the race with Sarah Jane. They had a stroller division that we did. We came in 1st place in the stroller division with a time of 23:25. I’m curious as to how fast I will be at this year’s 5K. I’m not looking for any certain time just a hard fast run.
What was pretty cool about last year’s race besides getting a medal was the door prizes. I won a free half day boat ride at Lake Blackshear. So, this weekend my brother and his family will be coming up and we are going to take all the kids out on the boat. So it sould be a fun weekend of racing and chillin’ out by the Lake.Life is Good.
