Running Beside The Cumberland River

This week I came up to Nashville to visit my wife’s family. I’ve had a good bit of down time to train. So far this week I’ve been able to run and do some yoga.

Today I got to run with the Galloway Group that meets in Nashville. I email the director last week to find out where and when they were meeting to run. Their group was going to run 8-10 miles. I got directions but the directions could have been a lot simpler. I got lost several times in Nashville but I did find the place. Only they had started their run. So, I took off running by myself. I knew where I was because last April I had ran the Country Music Marathon. I figured the group was running part of the marathon course. I tried to catch up with them. I ran beside the Cumberland River Greenway. It is so pretty up there because there is a small path that looks over the river.

Here is some pic's of the River / Greenway.

After much running around downtown Nashville I did find the Galloway Group. I was able to run about mile with them. Today I ran for an hour and ten minutes. I figure I did about 7-8 miles. It was a great day to run with temps in the lower 40’s.

It's always fun to run along some different trails/roads/etc! way to be super active while traveling ;)

Does that cage/tunnel structure have a function, or is it decorative?

Not sure. I've only ran thru the cage/tunnel thing twice. To me it looks more decorative.
